Speech Language Pathologist
Monica is from Tucson, Arizona and earned her master’s degree from New York University in 2011. She is a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP), a Certificated Lactation Educator/Counselor (CELC), and a Certified Educator of Infant Massage (CEIM). Monica has provided speech, language and feeding intervention to infants, toddlers, and children with a variety of diagnoses and medical complexities in multiple settings, including a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), Children’s Hospital, outpatient clinics, schools, and in homes. Monica's passion is working with infants and toddlers with feeding difficulties. Monica has received extensive training in feeding techniques including Sequential Oral Sensory (SOS) and Get Permission Approaches to feeding. Monica also enjoys and has considerable experience working on early communication skills. In her free time, Monica volunteers at a breastfeeding support group at a local hospital and teaches infant massage. She enjoys traveling, going to the beach, reading, baking, doing yoga, and hanging out with her wife and little white dog.
