Speech Language Pathologist
Alex is originally from Canada and completed her master’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders at Wayne State University in Detroit, MI in 2015. Alex received her bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences with a minor in linguistics at the University of Western Ontario in 2012. Alex has worked for 4 years in an acute care rehab treating a variety of diagnoses and ages with conditions including dysphagia (swallowing disorders), articulation disorders, pragmatic language disorders, disorders of voice and fluency and receptive and expressive language disorder with a special interest in Dysphagia. Alex is also Lee Silverman Voice Treatment (LST) certified. Alex is passionate about working with kids and families to facilitate a holistic approach in achieving the most optimal and functional communication.
In her spare time, Alex enjoys yoga, tennis, and soaking up the San Diego sunshine!
